Getting help
Most practical questions — mounting the phone, aiming the camera, entering your aircraft measurements, what the callouts and the display mean, why an approach wasn't recorded — are answered on the FAQ. That's the fastest place to start.

Reporting a problem
The single most useful thing you can tell us is which approach: the airport, the runway, and roughly when you flew it. If you have sharing turned on and the recording uploaded, that lets us replay exactly what you saw — video, guidance and callouts in sync — and see the problem instead of imagining it.
Also helpful: your device model, the app version (Settings → About), and what you expected to happen instead.
Deleting your GonnaLand account
GonnaLand works without an account. You only have one if you signed in to share approaches — if you never did, there's no account to delete, and your recordings exist only on your own device.
In the app: Settings → Share approaches → Delete account. It takes effect immediately.
Without the app: if you've already deleted GonnaLand from your device and want your account removed, email hello@betterself.ai from the address you signed in with, or tell us which sign-in you used. We'll confirm once it's done.
What deleting removes
- Your account itself, and the sign-in attached to it
- Your name and email address
- The link between your account and any approaches you shared
- Sharing is switched off; nothing further is uploaded
What happens to approaches you already shared
Shared approaches stay in the dataset we use to develop and evaluate GonnaLand's runway detection. They carry only an anonymous identifier — never your name or email — so once the account is gone, nothing connects them to you or to any account.
If you want those recordings deleted as well, email us before you delete your account: hello@betterself.ai. Afterwards we genuinely cannot tell which recordings were yours, so we can't remove them on request. We'd rather say that plainly than discover it together later.
Recordings on your device
Approach recordings are stored on your device and are yours. Delete any of them in Settings → Recordings, and the app removes them automatically 7 days after the flight unless you turn that off. Deleting the app removes all of them.
Privacy and terms
The Privacy Policy covers what the app records, what the optional sharing program uploads, and your choices. The Terms of Service cover the advisory-only nature of the app and the licence that applies to shared recordings.
